Who it's for

The same trip, from the glacier to the head's office.

A teacher on a glacier, a head approving a trip, a group leader looking across twelve schools. Each sees what they need, all from the same record.

Everything you need, in your hand.

The register, the emergency plan, the risk assessment that changed this morning. Take the register in seconds; it's on the record the moment you do.

  • Registers and check-ins at every stage of the day
  • Risk assessments that change when the plan does
  • Incidents logged where they happen, guardians informed
  • The emergency plan, one tap away
  • Works offline when the signal doesn't

That was the story. This is the software.

Three minutes with the real Ildána, from a blank trip to the post-trip review, on a sample Year 8 trip to Lisbon.

    Where Ildána fits

Schools already have tools. None of them runs the whole trip.

Ildána runs the whole trip lifecycle as one record, built around ISO 31031. Plan, assess, approve, run, review, with the compliance trail as the product, not an afterthought.

Keep your payment system. Ildána deliberately has no payments or bookings. It sits beside what you already use and takes care of the part none of it covers.

Booking and payment platforms are good at consent forms and collecting money, then stop. Risk-assessment tools produce a document, then stop. On-the-day apps help while you're away, with no planning record behind them. Ildána carries one record through all of it.

Hosted in the UKPupil and trip data stays in UK data centres.
Health data kept apartMedical details sit in their own restricted, unchangeable history.
Retention set by your schoolYou decide how long trip data is kept, and we delete on that schedule.
Full export, no AI trainingExport your whole trip file on demand. Your data is never used to train AI.
    The record

    Three months later, someone asks.

A governor, a parent, an inspector, an insurer. The answer is already written down, in order, with names and times. Pick a question.

    From the record

      The standard

      Built on ISO 31031.

ISO 31031 is the international standard for managing risk on trips for young people. Ildána is built around it, so doing the work and proving the work become the same thing.

The eight domains are Ildána's own way of organising the work in line with ISO 31031, not the standard's clause numbering. Ildána supports working in line with the standard; it doesn't certify a school.

        Our story · the name
        PlannerGuideNurseGuardianNavigatorInterpreterRecord-keeperAll of them

In Irish myth, Lugh arrived at the gates of Tara and was asked what art he practised. He named one after another: builder, smith, harper, healer. The court had a master of each. None had someone who held them all. They let him in, and called him Samildánach, the many-skilled.

Our mark borrows the look of letters cut along a line, the way the oldest inscriptions were carved, and sets them on the horizon every trip heads towards.

A school trip asks the same of a teacher. Ildána holds the other arts, so they can give their full attention to the one that matters: the children in front of them.

        • Do we have to leave our current trip or payment system? No. Ildána runs alongside it and does the part it doesn't: the risk, approval and safety record.
        • Does Ildána take payments? No, on purpose. Money stays with the system your school and parents already know.
        • Do our trips have to be run by BFC?No. Ildána works for any trip, run by your own staff or any travel provider.
